Next Garden Design Workshop – What Do You Want to See?

The online Garden Design Workshop had a great turn out at the weekend. You can watch it here .

Thank you so much those that did attend and for all the positive feedback. It was really heart-warming stuff, it makes my day to get such a response from so many of you!

I’m planning on doing more like it this year. I thought perhaps one on Small Garden Design and another on Plant Design. Or possibly a series of mini-tutorials on topics you suggest. Question is, what would you most like me to do first?

Which garden improvement tutorial would you most like to see first? Let me know in your comments below.

For the Small Garden Design Workshop I will need another garden to demonstrate on. So if that option get’s picked first, keeping watching this space for details of how you can enter your garden for a free design.

For the Plant Design Workshop I will most likely be working on a garden I’ve already designed, unless there are people out there that have had a design done and don’t have a planting scheme yet? The reason I’m insisting on a design is because unless there is a good design structure in place, the planting alone won’t make a garden look good.

Or, if you have specific things you are stuck with in your garden, let me know what it is you’d like help with and I’ll do a short video, if that option gets picked.

So it’s over to you to have your say. Leave a comment in the box below. Oh and do feel free to make suggestions for other workshops. I’ve done the ones I think are most needed, but what else do you want to see? Let me know your thoughts by commenting below.

  1. Rachel — I don’t use facebook so I’m voting here — both of your new workshops sound fantastic, but I’m inclined to want to see the one on plants first. I think it would make a perfect compliment to your first workshop where you got to work in the part of your philosophy that says great gardens start with garden shape/ hardscaping rather than plants. I didn’t require much convincing on that point, even though the main reason I started gardening was to collect particular kinds of plants. I am very curious to hear more about your views on plantings.

    • Thanks Benjamin – I’ve added your vote in. The next workshop will indeed be all about planting as that was the most voted for category. I’ll keep you posted here when it will be shown.
