This collection of 6 culinary herbs has been grown in 9cm pots. It will contain different herbs, but the contents of the collection will vary slightly depending on the season. You could expect one of any of the following to be included in the collection:; mint – peppermint Mentha × piperita – It can be used to make delicious mint sauces and teas as well as flavour sweets, puddings and toothpaste. Grows to 50cm x 1.5m; Green sage, Salvia officinalis – aromatic leaves are valuable for flavouring stuffings, herbal teas and meat dishes. Grows to 80 x 100cm; Chives, Allium Gedney – the edible leaves enhance the flavour of many savoury dishes. Grows to 60x5cm; Thyme, Thymus vulgaris – the aromatic leaves are useful for making bouquet garni, stuffings and sauces. Grows to 30 x 45cm; Curled parsley, Petroselinum crispum – leaves are great for garnishing and for adding to sauces and fish dishes. Grows to 50 x 50cm; Oregano, Origanum vulgare ‘Compactum’ – it can be used for sauces and pizza toppings. They may also be marinated to make flavoured oil that can be used in salad dressings. Grows to 50 x 50cm; Rosemary, Rosmarinus officinalis – the narrow aromatic leaves are ideal for flavouring roasted vegetables and meats. Pick the young succulent leaves regularly to ensure a plentiful supply. Grows to 150 x 150cm.
