There is no finer site on a ponds edge or watery margins than the magnificent Iris in full flower. Its erect sword shaped foliage forms clumps that love to sit in the margins of ponds in mid- summer large violet purple flowers are born on tall stems and hover above the leaves. This Iris is happy in either sun or partial shade and grows at its best in south East and West aspects.
