The West Dean herbaceous borders do a great job of providing summer colour with the use of repeat planting of key plants like the tall yellow Kniphofia and soft blue Perovskia.

The blue/ purple Aster flowers also play a big part of colour scheme and provide a different shape flower against the yellow Kniphofias.
