Garden Design v. AI – fascinating and hilarious!
Grok – I think if you had asked for a list, not a shopping list, you might have just got a list. AI is a bit dense at times and tries to be super-helpful. Did I spot honeysuckle in the first picture? It probably hasn’t yet had much training on garden design, it should get better as people use it.
Something computer related is more likely to give a quick answer and even a few options to choose from. I needed to know how to get MS Excel to add up hours totaling more than 24. Adding 8 + 8 + 10 gave the answer 2, obviously wrong. Asking ChatGPT I got a full explanation and the answer – use the format [h]:mm, though more slowly than Google’s AI less comprehensive overview
As you rightly say, you need to understand the tools you are using.

Thanks, Catharine! Yes, I wondered that about the shopping list vs list… I’m sure they will no doubt improve as time goes on but it certainly wasn’t time saving in this instance!

Really interesting as well as funny to watch. I think amount of time and frustration against hand drawn and informative human conversation there is no contest. Well done.
