A big departure from what we normally cover in a Garden Design Show, but I hope you’ll enjoy it!

First, we look at permaculture tips for healthy plants and at approx 13 mins we look at natural buildings made from sand, clay, straw and wood…

In this episode, we take a look at how very simple composts can completely transform the health and vitality of any soil and this in turns helps not only your plants thrive but an entire ecosystem.

One of the most important things that tends to be missing from soils these days is the fungi. As you’ll see in the video, fungi play a tremendously important role in the health of your soil and plants.

Fungi help in so many ways from weed suppression to creating food that attracts natural preditors which keeps plants free from pests and diseases.

A healthy soil will retain water and nutrients. It’s very simple to improve any soil and attract fungi with the use of a special compost that’s simple to make.

If you’d like Mario to do a full soil analysis of your soil (approx €100) http://badolatopermaculture.org  – you can post him a sample from anywhere in the world – instructions below on how to do that.
